How to Apply as a Transient Student

These requirements and instructions apply if you are enrolled at another accredited college or university, and you wish to temporarily enroll at ��ϲʿ�� for a semester with the intent to return to your previous institution. You may not enroll in learning support courses as a transient student.

Requirements
You must submit an official transient permission letter from your home institution.

You must be in good academic standing and eligible to re-enroll with your home institution.

Your home institution must be regionally accredited.

You must reapply and submit a new official transient permission letter for each semester you wish to attend ��ϲʿ��.

Selecting a Campus Location

Not all courses are offered on all campuses. You must ensure that the course/s you intend to take are offered on your intended campus. To do this, log in and check the . Please note that we cannot guarantee the availability of courses or a class schedule at particular times or locations.

Transient Student Registration Information

All transient students must be admitted to the university before registering for any courses. Refer to the Registrar's website for more information about registration dates and times.

Apply for admission online using the . Both Georgia and out-of-state residents create an account with GAfutures to apply. If you cannot apply online, download a paper application. You will pay a non-refundable application fee whether you apply online or using paper.

Submit an official letter of Transient Permission from your home institution registrar or dean. Ensure the statement includes your academic standing and eligibility to return to your home institution.

Submit your verification of lawful presence documentation if you wish to pay in-state tuition. This is not required if you pay out-of-state tuition. Out-of-state tuition is much higher than in-state tuition. Admission to ��ϲʿ�� is not contingent upon proof of lawful presence. If you no longer wish to be considered for tuition at the in-state rate, please contact us so that we can remove the requirement from your record.

Two weeks after you complete steps 1-3, to ensure we have received all required documents to evaluate your application.
