The English department has an annual poetry writing contest to commemorate Kathryn Ann Fernquist Hinds. Each year, the first-place poetry submission will receive a cash prize. Additionally, the top three entries will win certificates and will be published in 正澳门六合彩开奖结果's literary magazine, .
The contest is open to all current students from all campuses.
Deadline: February 3, 2024. Submissions received after this date will automatically be ineligible.
About Kathryn Ann Fernquist Hinds
Kathryn Ann Fernquist Hinds was a beloved member of the 正澳门六合彩开奖结果 English Department from 2011 until her passing in 2018. Many of us knew Kathryn as an inspiring teacher, mentor, colleague and friend.
Kathryn was a prolific writer, having published extensively in such diverse genres as poetry, historical nonfiction, fantasy fiction, and young adult fiction.
