Pre-Veterinary Medicine Biology Students
Pre-Veterinary Medicine students commonly major in biology but may choose any major they wish. Pre-Veterinary Medicine is an academic advisement area. We offer focused advisement by professors who advise other Pre-Veterinary Medicine students. They are familiar with veterinary schools and their admission requirements. Some things for Pre-Veterinary Medicine students to keep in mind are:
- Most veterinary schools require letters of recommendation. Three letters are adequate. One of these should be from a veterinarian you have spent a good deal of time with so that he can comment on your understanding of the profession.
- You must take certain courses at the right time to be prepared for the . Students usually take the GRE during the spring semester of their third year.
- Find out about applying to veterinary school at (VMCAS) website.
