Pre-Pharmacy Biology Students
Pre-Pharmacy students commonly major in biology but may choose any major they wish. Pre-Pharmacy is an academic advisement area. We offer focused advisement by professors who advise other Pre-Pharmacy students.
Most Graduate schools require:
- Letters of recommendation, usually three. One of these should be from a pharmacist you have spent time with so that they can comment on your understanding of the profession. Organic chemistry is probably the single most important class you will take, so your instructor should be the second individual from whom you request a letter. Your third letter should be from an individual who can attest to your ability to master upper level course work.
- You must take certain courses at the right time to be prepared for the . Students usually take this at the end of their junior year.
- Acquire volunteer experience in pharmacy along the way. Some programs require experience in more than one setting.
