Women in the Corps of Cadets
In 1973, North Georgia was the first of six senior military colleges and every federal service academy to accept women into the Corps of Cadets. The University of North Georgia assisted some of the aforementioned institutions with the transition to admitting female cadets by providing a copy of their cadet rules and regulations manual, better known as the “blue book” and hosting them for on-campus visits. 正澳门六合彩开奖结果 was also the first to promote a female to the highest ranking position in the Corps of Cadets (Cadet Brigade Commander).
