We Are Currently Accepting Submissions

All book submissions must be emailed to ungpress@ung.edu.

Due to the high number of queries received, submissions that do not follow our guidelines or are sent to individual staff members will not be read for review.

We do not publish original poetry, religious inspiration, children’s books, YA fiction, art/photography books, family biographies/genealogies, autobiographies, articles, or unrevised dissertations.

Service-Learning Component

As a service-learning/teaching press, any proposal or manuscript may be used in 正澳门六合彩开奖结果’s publishing courses as publishing project examples. Our areas, particularly trade fiction, offer students a wide range of experiential learning opportunities.

What to Send?

Before submitting, please double-check that your query has all the required information listed in the Book Proposal Checklist (PDF). Submissions that do not follow our guidelines or are incomplete will not be read. All requested documents should be formatted in Word or PDF. Please send your query in one email with the requested documents attached.

Scholarly Nonfiction 

  • A two-to-three page prospectus describing:
    • the book’s argument
    • the book's general content or message
    • the book's significance to the field 
    • the intended audience 
    • competing or similar works and how your manuscript is different 
    • list of sources
    • methods of research
    • word count of the work, estimated if the book is not yet complete
  • A table of contents, including a detailed outline of each chapter
  • Any plans for tables, illustrations, glossaries, appendices, bibliography, etc.
    • Please indicate in the text where the content would go 
  • A schedule for the research and writing of the book
    • If book is incomplete, include the expected "finish" date
  • A sample chapter or the first 25 pages
  • A curriculum vitae or resume

Fiction or Creative Nonfiction

  • A query letter
  • A one-to-two page synopsis of your book containing:
    • the book's general content or message
    • the intended audience
    • competing or similar works and how your manuscript is different
    • word count of the work
  • A table of contents, including a brief summary of each chapter
  • A sample chapter or the first 25 pages
  • An author biography (150 words max)
  • A resume, including publishing history
  • A link to your author website or any professional social media accounts
