Payroll
The payroll department is located in the Downtown Office Building in Dahlonega on the second floor. The department works diligently to assure that all University employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner.
The Payroll Department is also responsible for coordinating with the University System’s Shared Service Center in the preparation of various federal and state income withholding tax reports and facilitating payments to payroll vendors for employee benefits and other payroll deductions.
Mission
It is the primary mission of the University of North Georgia Payroll Department to:
- Assure that all employees of University of North Georgia are accurately paid in a timely manner.
- Assist the University System’s Shared Service Center with actively promoting and monitoring compliance with appropriate State and Federal financial and tax laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all payroll transactions are properly recorded in the University's accounting system and that all accounts are reconciled on a routine and timely basis.
