The National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship (NSF GRFP) awards support for graduate studies leading to a career in research for the natural, engineering, and social sciences. To apply, applicants complete both an academic plan and research proposal. Field-specific deadlines occur in late October. | |

Offered through the National Science Foundation, this program supports undergraduates interested in intensive research at other institutions in STEM or some social science fields during the summer at top universities. | |
The Fulbright Canada-Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is intended for U.S. students interested in coming to Canada to undertake advanced research projects for 10 to 12 weeks (between May and August) in their area of interest. Projects will be drawn from a broad cross-section of research topics covering all academic disciplines, and students will be placed with a university research project under the supervision of a professor. | |
The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) program encourages undergraduate students and recent graduates to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers by providing research experiences at the Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories. | |
Department of Defense Cyber Service Academy Scholarship | Full-ride scholarship, covers all tuition, fees, books, a laptop computer, plus $29,000 per year living expenses for juniors and seniors who are US Citizens interested in working in civilian cybersecurity roles in the Department of Defense for at least one year after graduation. Applications are accepted from November 1 to February 1 each year. |
Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the two-year fellowship provides academic funding for an IT-related degree, internships, and professional development leading up to an appointment in the Foreign Service as a Diplomatic Technology Officer. | |

The JET Program is a competitive employment opportunity that allows young professionals to live and work in cities, towns, and villages throughout Japan. Being a JET is an opportunity to work and to represent the United States as cultural ambassadors to Japan.
