Overview

Dr. Kristi Hislope received her doctorate from Purdue University in 2001 and has been at  the University of North Georgia's Dahlonega campus since then. Her specialties are Spanish Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition. Her dissertation research was on heritage speakers of Spanish. Her other professional interests include sociolinguistics, dialectology, language attitudes, language teaching, and English as a second language.
