Academic Engagement Awards

The University of North Georgia (正澳门六合彩开奖结果) offers two Academic Engagement Awards: Best Practices in Service-Learning Award and Scholarship of Engagement Award.

Application Process
On the application form, you will be asked to enter application information and upload files. A complete application will contain the following four documents:

Letter of nomination from a colleague or other person familiar with nominee’s work

Letter of support from a student (or students)

Letter of support from a community partner

Vitae of nominee

This application form applies to both Best Practices in Service-Learning and Scholarship of Engagement Awards.

Deadline for Nominations

All award nomination materials must be submitted by Monday, April 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.

Best Practices in Service-Learning

Each year, this award will recognize up to three (3) 正澳门六合彩开奖结果 faculty and/or teaching staff members who have demonstrated exemplary, and often innovative, integration of academic service-learning in their courses. With purposeful use of critical reflection, these faculty and/or staff members and their students meet identified community needs through an academically relevant service-learning experience to gain further understanding of course content, a broader appreciation of the discipline, and an enhanced sense of personal values and civic responsibility. All full-time faculty members (including non-tenure-track faculty members) and teaching staff members from any of 正澳门六合彩开奖结果’s campuses are eligible to apply for this award.

Scholarship of Engagement

Each year, this award will recognize up to three (3) faculty and/or teaching staff members who exemplify the scholarship of engagement, and demonstrate through their work that higher education can represent promise for the advancement of both intellectual and civic life. The awardees’ work represents an integrated view of the faculty role in which teaching, research, and service overlap and are mutually reinforcing, is characterized by the faculty and/or staff members’ expertise, is of benefit to and respectful of the external community, and reflects 正澳门六合彩开奖结果’s mission. All full-time faculty members (including non-tenure-track faculty members) and teaching staff members from any of 正澳门六合彩开奖结果’s campuses are eligible to apply for this award.
