Student Health Services opens in Gainesville
Hello and welcome to the new Student Health Services on the Gainesville Campus.
We are making history as of January 2020 and offering Student Health Services to the students on the Gainesville Campus.
There is a mandatory health fee for students who are taking six hours. That $65 health fee gets several options at our student health center.
This is our self-care center where people can come in and get supplies and medication that are over the counter without having to be seen by a provider or a nurse.
When you come in and you need to see a provider, these are the steps that you will take. You will come up to the front office. We have two front office people that will be able to help you answer any questions that you may have. You will sign in and from there they will give you some information, some forms to fill out with your health history in order for us to be able to treat you better.
We have two providers. One is a nurse practitioner and a physician assistant. They will meet you in the examination room, do your evaluation and your plan of care.
This is our laboratory of which we can do some laboratory testing in-house.
This is our in-house pharmacy. Your medications are given while you are here, and we have found that we meet 99% of the students' needs with the medications that we have.
