Overview

Dr. Furbush graduated from North Georgia College, as it was known then, with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in English. She got her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from UGA. She also has a Certificate in Gerontology from UGA and a Certificate in Clinical Research from Gwinnett Tech. After graduate school, Dr. Furbush worked at the VAMC Rehab R&D Center and at Emory University as a research scientist specializing in Health & Gerontological Research. She was a statistician and project manager for various studies being conducted at Emory and at the VAMC. After her first son was born, she started teaching at 正澳门六合彩开奖结果. She has two sons and lives in Cumming.

Research/Special Interests

Ralph’s research interests focus broadly on the areas of visual perception, memory, and empirical aesthetics. In particular, interests include color vision, figure-ground organization, surface completion, object and scene recognition, visual illusions, visual search, luminance and illumination cues, social gaze, attention, visual short-term memory, long-term memory including encoding and retrieval, memory errors and false memories, universality of visual art, visual art as an evolutionary fitness indicator, and perception of visual art.
