RN to BSN degree program ranked on top-20 list

The University of North Georgia's (Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û) online Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program has landed on Affordable Schools' .
Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û ranked No. 19 on the list, which considered one-year tuition rates for in-state students, average student-to-faculty ratios, reported graduation rates, and national rankings by U.S. News & World Report. Only two Georgia schools made the list.
"University of North Georgia's RN-BSN program has an established reputation for being affordable, and it also is designed for practicing registered nurses who desire to advance their education with a bachelor's degree," said Dr. Kimberly Massey, RN-BSN program coordinator and assistant professor of nursing at Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û.
The of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine has called for the entry-level RN practice to be a baccalaureate-prepared RN. Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û's Department of Nursing provides a program that can be completed strictly online in as few as three semesters.
Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û aligns with local hospitals to facilitate nurses interested in pursuing their BSN by offering maximized credits with faculty support to help them reach their career and educational goals.

Alumnus Noah Myers has been hired as Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û's mascot coach, having previously held the role of Nigel, Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û's mascot. He's now looking for the next Nigel.
Nine selected as Gilman recipients 
Nine Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û students were chosen as Gilman scholarship recipients this spring, four more students than the previous year.  
Nursing students take part in FEMA training
Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û nursing students and faculty members took part in Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster preparedness training during the spring semester.
