Biography
Much of Dr. Pisarik's career has been dedicated to facilitating college students’ growth, development, mental health and wellness. As a counselor, a teacher, and a student affairs professional, he has focused on helping students navigate healthy and successful transitions into, through, and out of the college experience. His career is now focused on training skilled and passionate college counselors and student affairs professionals who can do the same. He holds strongly to a developmental perspective and a humanistic approach as foundations for counseling, teaching, and supervision. He attempts to provide students a wide range of hands-on practice, professional experience, and practical knowledge.
Dr. Pisarik actively serves on committees and interest groups within his professional associations, and within the department he serves on the curriculum committee and the admissions committee. He maintains a small private practice which allows him to continually serve his community.
