Edward Wai-Ming Lai
Overview
Edward was born in Hong Kong and came to the United States in 1985. He earned his doctorate and master's degrees in counseling psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and is a licensed psychologist in the state of Georgia and Maryland. Edward has co-authored several articles relating to the acculturation issues of Asian immigrants. For the past 20+ years, he has practiced career and personal counseling in a number of university counseling centers. In September 2006, Edward joined the Gainesville campus as the assistant director. Edward loves watching sports, traveling, reading, being involved with his church, and spending time with his family.
