Overview
April Higgins is an academic advisor on the Oconee campus of the University of North Georgia. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Georgia and became a high school science teacher shortly thereafter. She later taught graphic design before becoming a high school counselor. As a counselor, April fell in love with helping students navigate the college application process and now, as an advisor, she enjoys working with students while they pursue their academic interests. She strives to be an advocate for all students and is passionate about helping them find a major that aligns with their career goals.
